Batik Air Malaysia has resumed nonstop flights between Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, operating in the Northern Winter 2026 schedule. The route had previously been suspended and is now returning to the airline's network.

### What it means for you

Australian business travellers now have a direct option to Kuala Lumpur on a Malaysian carrier, likely with competitive pricing given Batik Air's positioning. This adds frequency and choice on a route that connects to onward Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern services. Availability and seat access will depend on Batik Air's business-class product and alliance partnerships.
